• Now Press and Hold, these three key at once.
  * Green dial key,
  * Star key (*)
  * Three key (3)
• Same time press the Power ON/OFF switch of your S60 Nokia handset. DO NOT Leave the Three buttons untill you see the Formatting on screen, or your mobile is switched ON Completely.
• Now your Nokia S60 Handset is Formatted and ready to use.

• Start your Nokia handset.
• Enter this code *#7370#
• Now, it will ask confirmation about the format, Select yes.
• And again your Nokia is Formatted.

• Download Nokia software updater which is used to update the Firmware of Nokia handsets (S60 and New Models)
• Just Follow the instruction given in the instruction booklet given with software and format your Nokia
• Actually this software is used to update the firmware, so even if you have latest firmware it will erase the previous firmware from your handset and will install the new version. so it will get formatted.

Use any one of about three methods, the last one is better but you must have internet connection to format your handset. Please remember : Formatting handset will erase all the data from your handset.

GET SMS UPDATE FOR NEW E-MAIL [GMAIL]

Recently Google labs launched SMS Channel in India. i have created many SMS channel including one for this blog. so i just thought we can use this service for any type of SMS updates using RSS feeds.
Recently i have seen that we can directly get the RSS feeds of GMAIL inbox. so we can use this RSS feeds to get these SMS updates. So if you want your own Gmail inbox SMS channel just put your GMAIL RSS link in SMS channel feed section.

But using this link in SMS channel will expose your Password and ID to whole world, so you can use Feedburner service to hide it [Highly recommended] and create your own RSS feed like this

Just put this RSS link into your SMS channel rss feeds and get SMS alert for Emails. Remember to select “By invitation only” in “Who can subscribe” option else anyone can subscribe to your sms updates and anyone is subscribed can get those SMS for each e-mail.
Currently this service is available only in India as Google SMS channel is only for india. Many indian carriers supports Google SMS channel like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc. so you can enjoy this service of SMS update.
But the only drawback is that if anyone got the link to your Gmail rss feeds he/she can read your e-mails directly !!

PLAY NINTENDO (NES) GAMES ON NOKIA MOBILE.

Many of us played Mario, Contra, battle field, and many such games on our Gaming consoles. We can buy such Gaming consoles at very low cost.
Actually these gaming consoles were build on Nintendo’s Technology called Nintendo Entertainment System (N.E.S).These are the 8 Bit games developed by Nintendo Inc. And now you can play all those games on your Nokia mobile handset too.

There are many Emulators available online for playing NES Games on your mobile. Just download the emulator get some game ROMs and enjoy the games.There is one such emulator called vNes for playing it on your mobiles.

MICROSFT WINDOWS 7 OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD [BETA]

Windows 7 [Codename : Blackcomb and Vienna]- Microsoft’s next Operating system is available for download in its beta testing. After Windows vista its Microsoft’s next major software release and its in there main stream of operating system called Windows.

The Windows Seven is based on the experience of Windows Vista and Server 2003 editions of Windows. According to Microsoft windows seven will be much faster and stable than Vista [Always same statement at each new release]. Lets see how it is.

As currently it is in beta state you can download and enjoy the power and user interface of Windows seven before it will be released for general use with final version.

WORDPRESS DATABASE ERROR MYSQL SERVER HAS GONE AWAY FOR QUERY IN WORDPRESS 2.7

Recently i optimize my Wordpress for performance with many tweaks like deleting useless tables from database. Installed WP-Super cache, etc.
I was checking the error_log file in my Filemanager i was shocked due to its size, it was 14MB large !. I download it and opened it, all the errors were related to Database.
Almost all lines were starting with
“WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query…..”
and few were like this
“WordPress database error Lost connection to MySQL server during query for query…..”

As per the Error statement, the error clearly notifies that the connection between the Wordpress and MySQL database was not proper. I just searched Google and seen many results, then i got the idea that its a General problem for many wordpress users.

Rob given a solution for this problem with few patched files to be replaced, You can read his article “Workaround for WordPress database error“. The article give detailed information about this problem. He also given files to be replaced to solve this problem.

According to him, This error is cause due to improper coordination between database and Wordpress PHP commands.

According to Rob ,

When someone tries to view one of your Wordpress web pages, the PHP code first opens a connection to the MySQL server. Subsequent queries to the MySQL server rely on the connection remaining open, and do not re-open the connection. If the connection to the server happened to have shut down before a query is made, then Wordpress will display this error.

So for that you need to change the value of “wait_timeout” variable, either ask your hosting admin to do it for your else you can do it by your self by tweaking your wordpress file named wp-db.php.

Rob given replacement files for Wordpress upto version 2.6.1 but recently Wordpress 2.7 is released so how to do the patch for Wordpress 2.7 ?

Here i am including the file to be replaced by original “wp-db.php” file for Wordpress 2.7.

Make sure you Backup your database and other files.

In above Workaround file, i just added

$this->query("set session wait_timeout=600");

in line number 334 in original file.

So do Check your Error log file today, else this may cause increase in your site loading time.

MY NEW GADGET SONY ERICSSON K810I - CYBERSHOT

Just few days ago i brought the new Sony Ericsson k810i - Cybershot mobile handset.As a Cybershot its camera is amazing. It has 3.2 Megapixel camera with Autofocus and XENON Flash. My prevoius handset was Nokia N72, which was 2Megapixel with LED flash and without Autofocus.

Overall the camera is superb, Its Autofocus takes bit time to focus but its very accurate and gives superb and clear clicks.Now i am sharing Few of the most amazing features of my SE K810i.

PROS

1. Autofocus - Good, It was absent in my Nokia N72.
2. Xenon Flash - Bright picks at night.
3. Bestpick™ - can take 9 High quality images in just 1 second !!
4. Dedicated camera keys, including keys from changing the various settings of camera such as turning ON/OFF the flash, changing the scenes.
5. Amazing sound - Though its not walkman series handset, its sound quality is much better, and louder.
6. Faster menus and navigation
7. Specious keyboard - for Very high speed and accurate SMS typing., 
8. Radio sound is amazing and louder (When compared to Nokia devices)
9. Supports Stereo Bluetooth audio streaming.

CONS

of Sony Ericsson k810i
Now after many pros few cons about K810i
1. Battery seems weaker after taking too many picks using Xenon flash.
2. Joystick may cause problem after few years of use.
3. Only 1000 contacts can be stored 
4. Shooting video quality is VERY VERY Poor compared to other Nokia devices. (XVGA)
5. After sending SMS, when it gives the SMS delivery report or shows the cost of SMS you must press OK to remove that notification from screen, until and unless you remove it, your handset will NOT receive any new SMS !!!
6. Dont want to write more here but if got something will surely add……

with handset i got one 128MB SanDisk Memory stick which was inside the mobile handset and another Original 2GB SONY Memory stick M2 with handset.Currently i am using SanDisk card for contacts backup.

Most of the international countries have there own currency symbol like $ (US Dollar), £ (Great Britain pound), € (Euro), ¥ (Japanese Yen), etc etc. There is no official or special symbol for our Indian currency. Generally we use Rs., or INR, or रु or रुपया (Hindi) to represent the Indian rupees. What if you get a chance to design the Indian currency symbol ?

Ministry of Finance, India, recently started a competition for designers or general public to design the Indian currency symbol. So if you have artist in you then start designing the symbol.

NEW APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE 2009 - PROBLEMS

Recently Apple Inc. launched the next version or generation of there basic product “iPod Shuffle“.The first iPod shuffle was launched in 2005 and after 1year in 2006 they launched 2nd generation. This is the third generation of iPod which is launched in March 2009,nearly after 3year.

I do not own iPod, but still after looking at its features i can write this post easily  .
The new iPod shuffle have amazing features like,
VoiceOver technology that allows song names, artist names, album names and playlist contents and names to be spoken in 14 different languages.
Slick design , cool looks, etc etc.

BUT, here are the few problem that i observed in new iPod shuffle.

CONTROLS

Is older iPod Shuffle the controls were built on the device itself, but here in this new version the controls are on the headsets !!

So if you pluged any third party headsets onto your new iPod shuffle then it will still a allow you to listen to songs as as you start iPod, its starts playing the songs. But this time (using third party headsets) you cant control the iPod shuffle. No next, no pause, no volume up-down… nothing ,…

Some future third-party headphones and headphone adapters will include full support for the iPod shuffle. These headphones contain a special Apple authentication chip. Without this chip, third-party headphones are not allowed to interact with the iPod. - Wikipedia

COLORS OPTIONS

The new iPod shuffle comes in only two colors !!
Silver and black.. while the older iPod shuffle was available in pink, Green, Blue ,Lavender, Red, Orange, Turquoise, Mint….ooo !!

MEMORY

This iPod shuffle comes only in one memory option which is 4GB while the older iPod was available in 1 and 2 GB options, though this is not the problem but still… 

But still the looks of new iPod shuffle is really cool, and stylish. Its slick and smart.iPod shuffle is known for its superb sound quality. The brand Apple itself is a identity of trust and the innovations. I hope, soon the Apple will try to remove all those restrictions and problems from there device.

I recommend all iPod lovers to wait before buying this new edition of iPod, soon you will see the iPod with many other colors.

HOW TO INCREASE SPEED OF BSNL BROADBAND UL750 PLAN.

BSNL - India’s number one Telecommunications Company. I am using UL750 plan of BSNL. UL750 means Unlimited plan with monthly rental of 750INR (taxes extra). It provides speed of 256kbps, which is good for normal surfing and small downloads.

I received many e-mails through the contact page about how to increase the speed of this UL750 plan. Even on Orkut many people ask me how to speed up the connection of BSNL.

Today i am not going to tell you any secret or something different here.I will give you few details about how BSNL or any ISP (Internet service provider) calculate the speed of there connections.

According to plan specifications of 750 UL plan, it is provided that the plan will provide bandwidth of 256kbps (note the small kbps).Means you will get the speed around 32KBps (now note the capital KBps).

If you are aware of storage conventions and about the TB,GB,KB,kb etc. Then you must ware of the table below.

Data conversion table :
Bite: 8 bits = 1 byte
Bytes: 1024 bytes = 1 KB
Kilobytes: 1024 KB = 1 MB
Megabytes: 1024 MB = 1 GB…….

THE FACT :

So as BSNL is providing speed of 256kbps which is equivalent to 32KBps !! So if you are getting speed around 30-32KBps while downloading then you are getting best for what you are paying. If you want any such conversions in broadband plans just divide the number by eight. i.e. 256/8 = 32.
